I am local based hair stylist and colorist in Guatemala City aka ‘the land of eternal spring’. I have been working and investing in my craft for the past 15 years and I have no intention in stopping anytime soon. Since high school, my fascination with hair, especially color, started to blossom. Back in the day my execution wasn’t that great but the talent and determination was definitely there.

Before I could formally become a hairstylist, I had to fulfill my child duties towards my parents. They would’ve never supported me to have an artistic career if didn’t had something to fall back on. I enrolled in Landivar State University where I graduated with honors, completing the course of Bachelor in Marketing. Succeeding these events, I had my very own “Devil Wears Prada” moment. Working a year for a super shitty and exploitive market research agency. Regardless of the hardships, this brief time gave me the confidence I needed to make things happen and proof that I am an exceptional Project Manager.

In 2016, I finally made my trip to Barcelona to enroll as a cosmetologist at the Escuela de Peluquería Miguel Griñó. By far, the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but the lessons that came from this experience not only changed me as a stylist but also as a human being. Ever since my return to Guatemala, I’ve worked at different hair salons, trying to find a place where I can perfect my craft, find my voice and create social change with my art.

Finding my niche in house calls, in late 2024, 1360HairStudio, my very first physical proposal, came to birth. Taking inspiration from my exclusive, personalized service; I replicated the concept into a venue strategically designed to give personal 1 on 1 hair experiences. I can only hope my efforts towards excellence inspires others to adapt similar traits so that my industry becomes a structured, respected and profitable arena for emerging artists that choose to make a career out of it.
